If they studied our psychological tendencies, they'd quickly determine that, as a species, many of us find it difficult to think rationally, logically, unemotionally, adaptively and with a long-term view of things, a sense of unity vs divisiveness, etc. I hope they can determine that, although we're relatively unevolved, we have the potential to evolve in ways that would emerge universally beneficial wisdom.
